As part of the program, Çelik provided information about Mount Ağrı National Park and the avian diversity of the region, emphasizing the significant contributions of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems within the park’s boundaries to the local wildlife diversity. Çelik detailed specific areas within the park, such as the Doğubayazıt marshlands and Bulakbaşı wetlands, highlighting both their unique characteristics and the threats they face. He also noted that ongoing scientific studies are being conducted in the region, which is a critical intersection on bird migration routes. Additionally, KUŞMER Director Dr. Emrah Çelik underscored the region’s potential as a focal point for ornithotourism, inviting birdwatchers to explore and observe the area's avian species.
