The Storks of Iğdır Nest Ringing Project​

Project Area: The project was carried out within the borders of Iğdır Province.​

The project was completed with the permission of the Directorate General of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey, and was carried out by the Iğdır University Ornithology Application and Research Center (KUŞMER), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's XIII Regional Directorate Iğdır Branch, KuzeyDoğa Association, Koç University, Utah University, ARAS Electricity Distribution Company, and researchers from the Spanish Ornithology Center. During the fieldwork period (June 8, 2022 – July 15, 2022), ringing activities were conducted for 21 days. During this period, PVC TR rings were placed on 150 chicks in 79 nests across 14 villages within the borders of Iğdır Province.​

Bunun yanında 5 leylek yavrusuna uydu vericisi yerleştirilerek takip edilmeye başlandı.
